Churchill Cares FAQ

List of 6 frequently asked questions.

  • What is Churchill Cares?

As we adjust to all of the implications of COVID-19, we know that a number of our families may begin to struggle with paying for things like groceries, household items, utilities, and rent. To help meet some of those needs, we’ve created Churchill Cares, a fund designed to help Churchill families pay for their basic needs during this time. Our faculty and staff are eligible for this fund as well.
  • How will we fund Churchill Cares?

Churchill Cares is a fund built by the community for the community. The impact on each of our families will vary, and we believe that now more than ever, we need to be there for one another. So we are asking that those in our community who are in a position to help others, make a contribution to Churchill Cares.

  • How can I make a donation?

If you are able, please consider making a donation to support your fellow community members. You may make a contribution following the Donate link in the right column or via Venmo at @churchillschoolnyc. Please be sure to write “Donation to Churchill Cares” in the note section when making your contribution. If you do not already have a Venmo account, you may sign up online here. You may download the app for ios here and for Android here.
  • What can I receive support for?

With Churchill Cares, you can receive financial support for groceries and household items, utilities, rent, and medical supplies. Each family may receive up to a maximum of $1,000 per month. The program will remain available for as long as we have the funds to maintain it.
  • How do I request support?

We know that asking for help can be difficult. But we are a community, and it is our role as members of that community to be there for one another. If you need help, please reach out to Kimberly Campbell, our Chief Philanthropy Officer either by email at churchillcares@churchillschoolnyc.org or by phone at 646.946.2703. All requests will be handled with the utmost levels of confidentiality and care.

  • How will I receive the funding I requested?

We will distribute funds via Venmo. Please allow us up to 3-4 days processing time. If you do not already have a Venmo account, you may sign up online here. You may download the app for ios here and for Android here. Please note that in accordance with current tax laws, the amount of assistance you receive may count toward your taxable income for the calendar year.
